Windows VS MaC
The first objective within this task was to research and talk about hardware such as operating systems and graphics cards and to point out how they relate and are a big part of Graphic Design, and what was different between operating systems. I'm not very well-read on the technical side of computers so I decided it would be best to just create a quick comparison on Windows and Mac PC's as they are the most used operating systems in Graphic Design.
INPUT Devices
The next objective was to idenify and describe input devices, such as a keyboard and mouse for example, I found this very easy to do as I have experience in using input devices.
OUTPUT DEVICES
I then moved onto output devices, like printers and monitors, again I found this easy to do becuase I have had experince with these devices.
ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR AND PHOTOSHOP
I then moved onto comparing Photoshop with Adobe Illustrator, I have had experience using both of these programs, so it was easy to talk about the differences and different strengths and weaknesses. Photoshop is pixel based, whereas Illustrator is vector based and so on.
FILE FORMATS
What is Resolution?
PHOTOMONTAGE ESSAY
The next objective was to research Photomontage and produce and experiment with techniques used in Digital Photomontage using Photoshop, I decided to first do an essay explaining what Photomontage actually was, and then move onto producing some outcomes. I really enjoyed researching Photomontage and found it very interesting to see how it relates to many different things, such as the performing arts and photography, and also the interesting history behind Photomontage.
