Spread MoCkUp Design 3
This layout design was based upon this digitally re-created sketch, the layout was inspired by a make-up tutorial spread I had seen on Google images, on the layout there were two images contained within a circle in the center of the spread, with each image separated because of the bleed. I thought this design would be good to create as a mock-up or final outcome because it is creative and has impact, it would also put the programs I was using to create these spreads (Adobe InDesign) to good work. It would also be visually impressive.
Image Experimentation
Now, I had already chosen quite a few images to use on my spreads, but while I was having a browse on Google for some other images I liked, I came across the two images used below, I wanted the images to be from the same catwalk show, so that the layout looked consistent and realistic, as most magazines do a specific photo shoot for each article, so it only made sense to have both images in the same setting, show or place.
The first issue we took care of was trying to place two square images into a circle, as obviously the images were going to be contained within the circle, it made sense to do this first because otherwise we would've had to go back and do it later, so we began experimenting with it.

After it was decided that I wanted to use a square instead, I moved onto actually creating the layout in InDesign, this was actually a lot easier than the first layout because I knew what I wanted to do with the layout and I'd had some time to get use to InDesign and know it's features.
Header Placement
I then went onto setting up a new document in InDesign, the baseline grid was based upon the body text size which was 14 pt, and the line spacing was 12.001. This layout was a four column grid, unlike the first layout that only had two columns, this made the layout look a lot more professional in my opinion. The first thing we created was the body text, as this was what the grid was based upon, and then I moved onto experimenting with my fur typography (the header of the layout). My tutor had suggested a header layout for my other layout, which I didn't use for the first layout, and I had a hunch that it could work very well with this particular layout.
